Gold Leaf

There are many different techniques and styles of signage that can be produced with Gold Leaf. Lets design something that makes your sign stand out, and uniquely you!
Brilliant Gilding
This is an example of Gold Leaf, being as brilliant and reflective as a mirror. This example has a fade of three different karats. 23k center, into 17k, and 10k white gold tips.
Surface Gilding
This is another process of gilded sign, in which the Gold Leaf is applied to the surface of a material, and then can be slightly altered to create a texture that light dances off of.
I had the distinct honor of teaching the beginners Gold Leaf course at the international Letter Heads meet, in London, in August 2018. I was able to teach nearly 120 students, from around the world, how to water gild, oil gild, add abalone and mother of pearl to their piece, and blend painted backgrounds. This was an incredible opportunity to add to the craft of Gold Leaf Gilding, around the world!
